Our Winter Vacation 2011

Ahhh, I finally feel like I have gotten the chance to catch up and wind down all in the last two weeks, and now I have the time to blog....
For those who don't know, Chris and I went to West Yellowstone for 5 days, and it was AWESOME! It was a much needed break from the monotony of the Winter routine around our house.
We did ALOT of snowmachining and saw some very beautiful country.  We went through the park, which was a cool experience, but it was -27 when we entered and about -15 when we reached Old Faithful.....You don't really think about it beforehand, but Yellowstone is a crater, therefore the warm air rises and traps the FREEZING air inside the bowl and you freeze your booty off! If we ever did it again, I would definitely opt for the snow coach with all the senior citizens! We saw a few elk, a bunch of buffalo and of coarse...RAVENS.....We actually stopped at some mud pots and decided to walk around the boardwalk, our guide told us not to leave our backpack on the snowmobile, but we figured we had it strapped down with multiple bungee cords, so if would be fine. By the time we got back to the snowmobile, those d@^* birds had moved the bungees, unzipped all of the zippers and stole ALL of our snacks! We laughed about it, but theu got away with $30 in snacks!
We had so much fun, but by the end of the weekend, I was more than ready to get back to my baby, I missed him so dang much!
